How Jaker’s came to be

While attending the University of Idaho, Jake Jones got a job hashing (serving food) at the Gamma Phi Beta sorority house. He was terminated by the house mother for dropping a jam knife down her dress, not on purpose. But, taking pity on him, she decided to use him in the kitchen as the cook’s assistant. As it turns out, he got to work with the best cook on campus. Upon graduation he decided to stay in the food business.

Jake managed several college food services and then worked for a regional buffet chain.

In 1975 Jake opened his first restaurant. The latest restaurant opened in Meridian in 2007 and the next will be in Elko, Nevada.

"Jake Jones is also the Area Franchise Developer for Red Robins in Montana. We currently have a Red Robin in Billings and will be opening Red Robin of Missoula in November of 2008."
